Howdy Strangers
Saturday, Feb. 01, 2003 - 12:44 p.m.

I was reading some old documents and came across this quote from President Jimmy Carter, made 25 years ago.

"This is a present from a small, distant world, a token of our sounds, our science, our images, our music, our thoughts and our feelings.

We are attempting to survive our time so we may live into yours.

We hope someday, having solved the problems we face, to join a community of galactic civilizations.

This record represents our hope and our determination, and our good will in a vast and awesome universe."

-Jimmy Carter

The following image is of Voyager golden record. It is on a voyager space craft that has left our solar system. All of the text from Pres. Carter, as well as greetings, and images, and sounds from the planet Earth, are cut into this record.

Howdy strangers.
