WHO MAKES THE RULES
Thursday, Jan. 02, 2003 - 8:46 p.m.
I have heard a lot that one shouldn't use the word I too much. That it is a sign of an unhealthy ego. Isn't it ironic that many times the word is used by someone that seems to have either little or a lot of self esteem?
And never use the word but, because it makes everything you just said untrue. Is that a magical thing. Or is that just true of you when you use the word but? And do I have to let you define my words for me?
I know rules are important in certain contexts. I am glad I don't have to abide by some people's rules. Like the Taliban for example.
When it comes to self expression, who makes the rules for you, Dave?
Maybe I will follow my own rules, made just for me. Maybe I will live my life, not yours.
